Quick Tip #1 - Fat Cutting

So, you’ve finally acquired that amazing recipe of your grandma’s and you just can’t believe how much butter and fat is in there?? Well, My Quick Fat Cutting Tips should help you lean that dish down.

For this first one, I’ll give you the most simple and the most useful recipe saver:

USE TURKEY MEAT INSTEAD! If your dish is that fantastic burger your dad used to make, turkey burgers are a great substitute as long as you have his special seasonings. Even if you don’t turkey is a fantastically versatile meat and you can experiment or just get my recipes for it.

If your dish is a delectable stir-fry, you can certainly lean it up with the use of chicken, but turkey is right next to the chicken and it’s just as good!

Even if you aren’t adapting an old recipe, you can still use turkey. It’s the very first meat I use when starting a new dish and working from scratch with new ideas.

You can use turkey meat for some yummy lunch wraps, burritos, chimichangas, salads, even pizza! Turkey is good enough to stand on its own two feet against the fattier meats, and yet it can still be mixed in with other flavors, as well!

I can’t continue talking while calling this a “Quick Tip”, so I’ll leave you to discover the usefulness of turkey in your own kitchen.

Quick Tip #2 - Movie Snack

Got a movie you’re gonna watch at home tonight? You might have heard of this trick, but then again, you might not have.

Instead of popcorn, simply cook up some tasty almond treats to munch on. It’s much healthier and provides a better nutritional value than the popcorn does. All you have to do is throw some almonds on an un-greased cookie sheet, sprinkle some salt, cinnamon, and sugar on top, bake for five to ten minutes at 325 degrees Farenheit, and Voila! You’ve got yourself a delicious, healthy snack!
