Eating For Beauty
If you’re planning a diet out that will emphasize your beauty some of the most important things that you can pay attention to are what you aren’t eating as well as what you are. Foods with saturated fats and trans-fats can contribute to oily skin. Saturated fats are found in most animal products – such as meats, dairy, and poultry. However the body does still require other essential fatty acids such as from fish or flaxseed. There are also some people that believe that eating a lot of heavily processed and high calorie foods can lead to increased hormone levels and sebum production which can end up as breakouts on your skin so if you’re eating for beauty you may want to avoid things like that. There are also some that think that if you eat a higher protein diet you are less likely to get breakouts and suffer those kinds of problems.
If you have skin issues you may want to consider taking a Vitamin A and a Zinc supplement as these are both really helpful and can keep skin looking smooth and clear as well as preventing wrinkles and age spots. Vitamin A can even be used topically to help clear scars and reduce the appearance of fine lines. It can also help give you a clearer skin tone. You may want to try an MSM or a Selenium supplement because those are extremely helpful in keeping skin looking youthful and firm. If you have aging or more mature skin you might want to take a fish oil supplement with some omega3’s and omega6’s because those can help skin look supple and stay well hydrated and of course protect against wrinkles.
Eating lots of fresh fruit and drinking lots of water will help keep skin clean and supple and it can help flush impurities away from the skin to keep it looking youthful and clear. Fresh fruits and fresh fish are also good for your hair and nails because they will keep them soft and shiny and make them grow quickly. You can even rinse your hair in some lemon juice for natural cleaning power and highlights. Cucumbers and green tea are also especially good for the skin and give the body lots of detoxing and antioxidant power. Cucumbers especially can hydrate the skin because of their high water content which ca help the skin look fresh instead of tired and flushed.
Berries of course are known for their antioxidant properties but grapes (and red wine) can also have similar effects and can even have an anti-aging effect on your skin which will help it rebuild cells and renew your skin. Make sure to eat good amounts of vegetables too because they’ll balance your system out and contribute to the function of your eyes and hearing which may help you not have to wear glasses or contacts.
When you’re eating for beauty make sure that you stay dedicated to your diet for at least two months because that is the approximate length of a cycle of your skin and that’s how long it will take for you to see any of the really good effects from your diet so don’t give up too early with it!
